The Jackson Fire Department's response area continues to rapidly grow.  Currently there are over 2000 dwelling units in either the approved or conceptual stages.  The department continues to provide superior emergency services and prevention programs.

The Jackson Fire Department response area can be proud of the men and women that give their time and energy to help protect lives and property through the use of fire equipment and ambulances.

Firefighters Prayer

When I am called to duty, God
Whenever flames may rage
Give me strength to save
some life
Whatever be it's age
Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout
And quickly and effectively
To put the fire out
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me
To guard my every neighbor
And protect his property
And if according to your will
I have to lose my life
Please bless with your protecting hand
